Functions of the Dean of Students

• The office of the Dean of Students is primarily concerned with the students welfare from the time they are admitted into the college to the time they graduate.

I. Guidance and Counseling Services

The aim of this service is to facilitate personal, social, intellectual, and psychological development and overall well-being of students.

II. Clubs and Societies

These are provided to cater for diverse students and also offer opportunities to develop skills in management, leadership, and teamwork.

III. Games and Sports

A variety of games are offered including Soccer, Volleyball, and Tennis.

IV. Differently Abled Students

The office ensures that differently abled students are supported and enabled to fully develop their potential.

V. Communication and Mails

The Dean of Students’ office receives incoming mail from the college registry and distributes it to students accordingly.

VI. Work Study Programme

This scheme enables needy students to supplement their finances through part-time work on campus while gaining valuable work experience.

VII. Discipline

The college has rules and regulations that must be adhered to by all students. The office ensures compliance and handles disciplinary matters fairly when rules are violated.

VIII. Catering Services

Ensures that student eateries are well managed and provide quality services.

IX. Students Leave

Helps regulate student movement during sessions. Students with valid reasons may apply for leave of absence for a specified period.

X. Student Governance

Oversees student leadership processes including campaigns, elections, swearing-in ceremonies, and monitoring activities of the students’ council.
